One Week

The book of Genesis is literally a book of beginnings. Genesis 1 presents the beginning of time by telling us about the very first week. The account of that one week is filled with verb after verb after verb describing God’s activity. He “created. He “said.” He “saw.” He “separated.” He “called.” He “made.” He “set.” He “blessed.” Genesis 1 is filled with information about what God does, but what does it tell us about God, and what does this one week tell us about ourselves?
