faith plus love

The seventh and final thing Peter said we must add to our faith is love. It's important to notice that Peter concluded the list of things we are to add to our faith with a term for love that was rarely used in secular Greek. However, Jesus and His followers adopted this “uncommon” term and gave it new life as a “distinctively Christian” term for love. In this lesson, we consider what makes this term for love different as well as what it entails.
