James 3:9-10 says, “With [our tongue] we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.”Since this duality of tongue ought not to exist, that means we need to add some speech habits and subtract others. And James is not afraid to provide some directions regarding what types of speech need to be eliminated and what types of speech need to be included.
