Have you ever overreacted to something, particularly when it comes to anger? To overreact is to “respond more emotionally or forcibly than is justified.” While the Bible doesn’t use the term “overreact” or “overreaction,” the concept is inferred in passages such as Matthew 5:21-22 and Ephesians 4:26-27. And the Bible indicates that as Christians we need to be in the overreaction prevention business. But how do you prevent an overreaction? In this lesson, we’ll examine one of the more obscure stories from the life of David to discover some practical guidance regarding how we can avoid overreacting in the future.
