In the Great Commission, Jesus indicated that the disciple-making process would consist of 2 steps: “baptizing” & “teaching” (Matthew 28:19-20). The “baptizing” instruction focuses on how one becomes a disciple, while the “teaching” instruction focuses on how one grows as a disciple. Based on this observation, we can conclude that there are some things one needs to know in order to become a Christian, while there are other things that can wait to be learned as part of the maturation process. In this lesson, we explore what one needs to know in order to become a disciple.
