The first criticism of the disciples after Jesus’ ascension revolved around their failure to move. The disciples witnessed Jesus’ ascension and stood there “gazing into heaven” when, all of a sudden, a couple of messengers appeared and challenged them to get moving. As we prepare to enter a new year—not just physically, financially, or chronologically, but also spiritually—it’s important that we consider how we’re going to move ahead. So, in this lesson, we look at the example of someone in Scripture who was called by God to move with the intent of discovering what it will take for us to make the same move.
