In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul said, “one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” In other words, Paul indicated that there were some things from his past that he had to let go of in order to focus on his future. And, sometimes, we don’t let go of things from our past that prove detrimental in the present. This morning, we will consider two things that the Bible says we should let go of even though many of us have a tendency to hold on to them.
